I've mostly by accident been working in dynamically typed languages for my entire career (and beyond, since learning in BASIC, really). Only last summer when I started working in Java for earnest (besides briefly in college) for an Android app did I really "work" in a statically typed language. I keep running into situations where I believe static typing would have helped me significantly. And keep wondering if I should try to re-focus on Java. (A thought that once sent imaginary bugs crawling all over my skin.)
