First Week at Google: Done

2009-08-24 19:35 - General

I'm late posting this. But it's still true. I've got through the first week at my new job at Google. I know little more, yet, about what I'll actually be doing. Because there is so much to learn about the company. I've spent about all my time so far attending classes and reading training documents. It's invigorating and intimidating at the same time. The environment is very open, and as a full-time employee, I have access to a surprising and staggering amount of information. I've already learned a few really cool things — but I can't say what, because they're proprietary!

I'm scheduled to travel to the office in Mountain View for two weeks, next week and the following week. I'm quite unsure what I'm going to do over there for two weeks. Plus, that window is going to cover both my birthday and labor day. But that's how it goes!
