The first of my new dishes, a small plate, has fallen victim to my clumsy hands; while drying it off after I found the dishwasher did a poor job, slip, fall, crash. That's why I bought more than I need. I can lose a few before I need replacements.
(It was a surprisingly small chip, for falling four feet onto a stone floor. But too much to eat off of.)
