"In Windows, the images scale nicely. In Ubuntu 8.04, they become pixellated very quickly."

I hate Linux as a desktop operating system. It is just so un-polished. Everything works with quirks, at best. I noticed this poor image scaling, and instead of a solution I found that other Ubuntu users simply have the same problem.

Once I realized this is a Linux thing, the right search terms lead me to the Mozilla bug:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=422179
The standard depressing sort of multi-year-old (two, in this case) runaround bug that will probably never be fixed.
