Just finished story mode for Time Splitters 3 (for Playstation 2). At least one review included the description that the game involved traveling back in time to play with your own self -- turns out that's just a prop for the story; you only play with an NPC introduced at fixed points, with the same model as your avatar. Without any cooperative-with-your-past-self mechanic, it's merely a passable first person shooter.
